HRH THE PRINCE OF WALES, FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT OF PRINCE’S TRUST GROUP OF CHARITIES, VISITS CANADIAN VETERANS AND YOUNG ADULTS IMPACTED BY LOCAL PROGRAMS
The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell and Senator Pamela Wallin among special guests at private reception hosted by Prince’s Trust Canada
WHAT: Prince’s Trust Canada (PTC), a national charity established in 2011 by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, is hosting a special reception for a select group of young adults and Veterans who have been impacted by the organization’s wide-ranging resources that help Canadians prepare for the transforming world of work. The networking event will connect Prince’s Trust Canada’s program participants with community partners and business leaders who are contributing to a sustainable future.
Prince’s Trust Canada will also welcome a special visit by The Prince of Wales as part of his three-day Canadian Royal Tour, together with distinguished guests including The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Senator Pamela Wallin, Minister of Labour Seamus O’Regan, and Chief Perry Bellegarde, Honorary President of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society and Former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations.
His Royal Highness will take part in a meet and greet with beneficiaries of Prince’s Trust Canada, whose programs are largely inspired by his demonstrated commitment to accelerating global progress towards a sustainable future, and steadfast support of Veterans and members of the military community. PTC aims to support more than 3,000 Canadian Veterans and equity deserving young people in the coming year to prepare for the future of work by exploring, preparing for and gaining access to purposeful, good green jobs.

Jillian is an Ottawa-based entrepreneur and graduate of Prince’s Trust Canada’s program Operation Entrepreneur’s business boot camps for Veterans. She is the owner of WatchMySix Service Dogs, which provides support dogs to those in need, including Veterans with post-service mental health injuries.
- Erum Hasan - Erum is young Muslim student who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto. She has a passion for creating positive social change within low-income communities, including her own community of Scarborough, ON; and has taken part in Prince’s Trust Canada’s WorkReady Virtual Workshops that has provided her valuable leadership skills and networking opportunities to pursue her goals.
