With sadness, The King’s Trust Canada notes the passing of its Chair Emerita, The Honourable Hilary M. Weston.

A true champion for young people in Canada, Hilary M. Weston has been a cornerstone of The King’s Trust Canada (TKTC) since its inception. As our founding Chair and Patron, Mrs. Weston played a pivotal role in providing the leadership needed to establish our organization in 2011. Since then, her steadfast commitment to young people through His Majesty King Charles III’s work continued through her role as Chair Emerita.

Mrs. Weston’s leadership has been instrumental in the evolution of our organization – from Prince’s Charities Canada to The Prince’s Trust Canada, and now The King’s Trust Canada. Her vision, generosity, and guidance have helped build the foundation of our programs and the relationships that sustain them today. Notably throughout the past 14 years, Mrs. Weston provided vital support for youth employment initiatives.

In 2023, the Hilary and Galen Weston Foundation made a transformative investment in our 360 program. This support enabled the development and pilot delivery of this innovative initiative, helping young people take their first steps toward a fulfilling career path with some of Canada’s top employers.

We are deeply grateful for Hilary Weston’s extraordinary legacy and her steadfast belief in the potential of young people across Canada, and we send our deepest condolences to her family.
