Joy Badola’s journey with The King’s Trust Canada (TKTC) began in 2024, Knowing that he needed to build a network, Joy attended various TKTC programs – most notably The Network. By doing so, he was provided with the support and connections he needed to feel at home in Canada. 

Through his participation in The Network, he found the conversations and connections he made through TKTC to be crucial in his professional growth. The welcoming approach and willingness of TKTC staff to help newcomers like Joy made a significant impact on his professional development – learning about the Canadian job market and gaining insights that traditional schooling couldn’t provide. 

One of the most impactful aspects of Joy’s experience with TKTC was the access to free resources and support. TKTC shared various resources available to newcomers, helping him continue learning and growing in his new environment. 

Joy’s journey with TKTC is a true testament to personal and professional growth. He built a strong network, gained confidence in his abilities, and learned to navigate the Canadian job market. Joy’s advice to others is to be true to themselves and continue growing in their own way. He believes that the right employers will value unique knowledge and experience, not just the bullet points of a job posting. 

With a newfound network, Joy’s career path is defined by taking care of his loved ones and the people around him. Joy believes that young people would benefit tremendously from TKTC’s programs, networks, and resources.
