TKTC Appoints Jeffrey L. Orridge as CEO

Meet our New Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey L. Orridge

TORONTO, ONTARIO (JULY 22, 2025) – The King’s Trust Canada (TKTC), His Majesty King Charles III’s flagship charity in Canada, has appointed Jeffrey L. Orridge as Chief Executive Officer. Effective September 2, 2025, Orridge succeeds The Honourable Farah Mohamed, who was appointed to the Senate of Canada this past spring.

Orridge’s dynamic career has included his most recent roles as CEO of TVO Media Education Group; Commissioner of the Canadian Football League; COO of Right to Play International; Executive Director of CBC Sports and General Manager, Olympics; and Senior Vice President, Community and Partnerships at Canadian Tire.  A graduate of Harvard Law School, he presently serves on the Board of Historica Canada, and he has deep experience on numerous other non-profit boards. Among other accolades, Jeffrey has been recognized as one of Pinball Clemons Foundation’s “30 Black Legends in Canadian History”.

“Given his exceptional background, passion for purpose, and devotion to public service, Jeffrey certainly has the capability to grow The King’s Trust in Canada on a national scale yet he has the humility and experience to engage with young people where they are at now,” said Mark Fell, Chair of the Board, The King’s Trust Canada.   “He is a proven leader whom we believe can excite and engage the TKTC executive leadership team and our employees as well as our partners, stakeholders, patrons and most significantly, the youth we serve.  I personally could not be happier with Jeffrey’s appointment.”

Said Orridge, “The King’s Trust Canada’s values and mission are those I have consistently espoused throughout my professional life. TKTC is an energized, purpose-driven organization, and I look forward to building on its considerable momentum to make Canadian youth more prepared and resilient to meet the challenges of a work environment in this uncertain economy.  By empowering our young people, we’re strengthening the fabric of our nation’s future, and there is no better way to build the Canada we want.”

Founded by His Majesty King Charles III, The King’s Trust Canada is a national charity that creates pathways to employment for young people facing barriers by providing free skills training, work experience and networking opportunities.
