Fifteen years ago, The King’s Trust Canada was founded on a simple belief: every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter their background or the challenges they are facing.
That belief remains as urgent today as it was then — because potential is universal, but opportunity is not.
Across Canada, young people aged 15–24 are navigating a world of rapid economic change — shaped by automation, artificial intelligence, rising costs of living, and increasingly fragmented pathways between education to economic opportunity. For young people who are under-resourced, the distance between potential and opportunity is growing wider, not narrower.
The King’s Trust Canada exists to close that gap.
